Hey Durdle, watcha doin’?…

… where did you go?

It’s been a little while since we updated the world with Durdle news! So what happened to Durdle Games since Gencon 2021? Did we give up? Did we break up? Did we give up on breaking up?

We are still here! We took a couple months to decompress after Gencon. We burned the candles pretty hard in the run up. We didn’t stop working on games, just slowed down a bit. Took our time to focus playing other games, worked on non-Durdle content, and batted around a lot of ideas. We shelved some ideas and decided to chase some others. Here is where we stand today!

Cramazon has been getting a fresh coat of paint this past month. We finally have a working system for the daily escalations. We’ve added Bosses & Work Schedules to the game! A brand new rule book is in the works too! This should all be wrapped up early May.

Spelldice got some subtle changes. The Deadshot was modified to get progressively easier each round for resurrection. A few spells and shots were modified, but overall the game is mostly the same. We are still testing it and on the hunt for a publisher. We will be dropping a video in the next few weeks.

We made a new game! Aimbots is an idea that started about 18 months ago, but we didn’t really go anywhere with it until the past three months. Development on it has been a whirlwind and it’s hard to believe the idea is still so young. We have been playtesting the game heavily and it’s really garnered some fans with the playtesters. Once we get the media correct we will be pitching this one to publishers.

So what is next for Durdle Games? The big plan is to have 4 strong games for GenCon this year. We have 3 that are in “strong” condition currently. They are really in the “getting polished” mode now. Shortly we will be tearing into a game, we have on the back burner, to build it up in time for the convention circuit. Stay tuned for that one!
