Who is Durdle Games?

“Dur-dle”

To fuss about with ones chips or cards, taking a great amount of time while accomplishing little and
forcing others to wait until a players turn is completed.

Durdle Games is the passion project of two guys who were looking for something to keep their minds busy during the pandemic. Somewhere in the middle part they inadvertently sold a game design and started a game company. Today they have sold multiple game designs, provided game consulting services for other games, and create compelling game artwork.

Now that you’re up to speed. Try one of our Print n’ Play designs. Follow us on all the socials. See you around the table!

Mission

To discover new ideas in gaming and expand on the rich gaming experiences that helped build the hobby. Most importantly, to have fun while doing it and love the process even when it isn’t easy. Be an active and positive presence in the gaming community. We are not in competition with other companies, we are all pushing together to grow the hobby and spread the joy of gaming.

Guiding Principles

  1. Make games that bring people into gaming and not exclude them. Create games where people see characters and content that is appealing and relatable.
  2. Look for less explored, non-traditional, and mash-up type themes.
  3. Perfect balance isn’t as much fun as people think it is.
  4. Create games that appeal to durdlers and non-durdlers alike. Each turn of the game should feel like an impactful decision.
  5. Reward players when they take high risks and succeed.
  6. Include customization within pre-determined parameters. It is not the players job to combine our game mechanisms in the optimal way to create a compelling gaming experience.
